Review : The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser

Hi!

I'm always in the search of the perfect primer, as I tend to have pretty big, visibles pores. In the last couple of months they have diminished considerably due to my using of the Paula's Choice 2% BHA gel exfoliant and also using The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser, which works as a treatment for blemishes, blackheads and large pores due to the tea tree extract and also as a makeup base.

I bought it mainly because I was thinking to use as a treatment for my blemishes during a pretty ugly episode last summer. At first I was put off  by the strong smell identic to the tea tree oil which I actually use as spot treatment for blemishes. I was a little scared to use it on my whole face (except my eyes and lips of course) as it also have a pinching effect. But I did and I was surprised to see how quickly it entered my skin, the smell and the pinching go off really quickly and it leaves my skin really smooth.

As a treatment, I did see some reduction on my pores, but I know it's a combination of products that helped out. I like also the fact it reduces the redness around my nose so it kind of uniforms my skin tone.

This is how the dosage system looks like, I like the fact I have to squeeze it for the product to come out. The texture is gel-like, an white-yellow color which goes clear once blended into the skin.

It enters the skin in less than a minute, so you can put on your foundation/BB Cream without problemes. I found that my skin is almost flawless using this under my foundation or powder, it also helps with the oil, as I've stated a couple of times gives me hard times more during summer time.

I would definitely recommend to those of you who have normal, combination and oily prone to acne skin, as it tends to dry out a little bit the skin, so I don't know how it would work on a dry type of skin. Maybe with proper moisturising before, there won't be a problem but I wouldn't know, as for me drying isn't not a big issue. Don't worry though, it doesn't absorb skin moisture, but as it's a tee tree infused primer, it has a slight drying effect as it supposed to calm blemishes and redness.

Have you tried this primer before? What do you think of it as a blemishes treatment/pore reducing primer 2-in-1? Yay or nay?
