Today I'm starting a serie of reviews & swatches my eyeshadow palettes and what better way to start off than one of the most versatile palette from Sleek, the Original Eyeshadow Palette. Me and the Sleek palettes have a nice relationship since the first time I laid my eyes on them at The Make-up Shop.

All the Sleek palettes from the well known i-Divine collection stand out through the pretty sturdy black case, very "sleek", thin and elegant. Even the packaging looks incredibly high-end fo a mere price of 9.99 $ (on the Sleek website).

The inside is very neat, all the palettes include 12 eyeshadows, a large mirror on the lid and a double sponge applicator which is actually very good at applying more color on the eye, as it gives more intensity than using eye brushes.

All the shades in here apart from the matte black that we can find in all Sleek palettes are shimmery so expecta bit of fall-out but nothing too heavy. There are no names for the eyeshadows as some of the others palettes.

Here are the swatches for the upper row:
  • A light shimmery green with kind of large of golden particles. It's on sheer side though, good color pay off when applying more layers.
  • A turquoise shimmer with small golden particles. It's  on the sheer side, not so good color pay off though.
  • A light blue metallic shade with silver undertone. It's opaque and very good color pay off.
  • A dark navy shade. On the sheer side, black base and dark blue shimmer particles.
  • A shimmery purple. It's pretty opaque, good color pay off.
  • A matte black. Nice black, not very opaque though.

Swatches for the lower row:

  • A light vanilla golden shade. It's creamy, shimmery, kind of sheer and major fall out. Good color pay off though.
  • A light frosty rose with golden particles. Creamy, shimerry, major fall out.
  • A darker frosty rose with gold and silver undertone. Similar with the other rose but darker and on the warm side.
  • A coppery shade. Very opaque, rich color, lot of shimmer, major fall out.
  • A shimmery brown with golden specks. Kind of sheer, good color pay off when layering, major fall out.
  • A golden moss green shade. Opaque, rich color, creamy, almost metallic.

Overall, I love this palette as I don't mind fall out and sheerness of colors as long as they have great pigmentation and long staying power. But if you do mind those issues, then you may want to think again before buying it. As pros, I consider this palette very versatile, from neutral looks to party colourfull looks, you have it all. The colors are pretty unique, have good pigmentation, they blend out very nice. As cons though, I would say I'm on the fence with the textures, as there is a lot of fall out, most colors are pretty sheer and they are not all as creamy as I would like. But again for me it's no biggie.

You can find it at The Make-up Shop (Romania) or at Sleek website (International). Price around 9.99 $.

What do you think of Original Sleek Palette? Love or hate?
