Happy Friday, gals!
Hope you're all ready for weekend! Today I have for you a shortie, a quick review for one of my favorite products I use on a daily basis, the Radiant Eyeshadow Base. So this a drugstore eye primer, but boy, I may venture and say this is even better than my Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer.
It comes in this little (and incomfortable) little plastic jar, nothing fancy and really cheap looking. It looks very small, but it lasts forever, as you need a tiny amount for each lid. I use my finger or a flat concealer brush to get it out of there. It's not really hygienic but oh well, every product has its downsides...
It's basically an white cream that blends into the skin very quickly. It's slightly oily and it leaves a somewhat white sheen on the lid that neutralizes any discoloration or dark veins that you might be showing. It's not as proficient in that departement as TFSI Lemon Drop but it still works.
It has no glitter or shimmer, it's just a matte white cream. Now onto the effects, I have to say that it does the best job at stoping any kind of creasing on my eye makeup. I use it every time I go for a more dramatic eye wear, darker colors or if I need to keep my shades in places for a whole day and part of the night. I've been trying a lot of primers and even TFSI can upbeat Radiant Eyeshadow Base at long staying power. It can literally go through sweat, warm weather or even a little rain without creasing and smudging.
In the photo below, you can see how much more intense the eyeshadow looks on top of this base. I have a lot of eyeshadows thar look great in the pan but no so great on the eye, the intensity is missing and the color payoff. This base brings them all together.
No primer, on top of primer
This can found at any Radiant counter, I have seen a bunch of these in some local stores in Bucharest. I can't find it online but here's their website, Radiant Cosmetics is a Greek cosmetics brand.
